Here at VectisVibe we are committed to reducing our environmental impact... not always an easy concept for a mobile disco operator when the general trend is towards high-powered audio systems and modern club-style lighting! However when replacing equipment we always take account not only of price/performance, but also longevity and energy efficiency.

• Lighting - we are watching closely the latest developments in LED lighting technology which typically uses around 10% of the power of a comparable halogen or HID lit effect; we have already invested in several LED fixtures and will continue to do so as the technology matures and becomes economical. LED effects don't use conventional bulbs and have an incredibly long life-span;
• Audio - we are careful to choose only highly efficient audio equipment meaning we can produce a high-quality output using less power than conventional amplifiers and loudspeakers;
• Back-office - customers are now offered a paperless option when booking and transacting with VectisVibe - contracts, brochures and payments can now be handled 100% online;
• The Future - this year we are hoping to invest in a Silent Disco option whereby members of the audience wear RF headphones tuned to a specific FM frequency on which we broadcast the music - this means no power amplifiers, speakers or subwoofers required... not only our biggest electricity draw but also over 60% of the weight we carry by road. It also means that folks can choose to take off the headphones and chat without having to shout over the music!
